What makes The OMMedicine different from all the other resources out there, including those listed on youtube?

Credibility

All of our content, whether it be in our videos, worksheets, anki deck, etc. has been cross-referenced with over 50 osteopathic manipulative medicine resources, many of which are considered to be the “gold standard” reference material for the field. Our team is also comprised of many healthcare professionals, all at different levels of training, however we were founded and are currently managed by osteopathic physicians (D.O.), who have experience performing osteopathic manipulative therapy (OMT) and understand the intricacies of the field. While there are many great videos on youtube, unfortunately many of them contain errors or content that is outdated and no longer relevant.

A focus on comlex relevant material

Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine has been around for many years and would take years to understand and master every technique. While some students may be interested in pursuing a residency in OMM to be able to master these concepts, most students want to know what is needed to pass their board exams, period. TheOMMedicine was designed with both students in mind. The majority of our content focuses on the topics that are most commonly tested on the Comlex exams with a minor emphasis on the low yield concepts. For example, particularly high yield concepts, such as the motion and treatments surrounding the fibular and radial head, are discussed in greater detail than those less commonly tested areas of OMM, such as the management of cuboid dysfunctions.

Length

One of the biggest complaints students have mentioned about other resources, like those on youtube or other websites, is the length. Medical students have an extremely busy schedule and do not have the time to spend sorting through a 30 minute lecture that is riddled with rarely tested facts. We have made an effort to keep each of our videos under 15 minutes for this reason.
